Time to Detect a Failing Deployment — the metric that closes CXOs

Mean time to detect & rollback a bad GPU deployment

Every minute a bad deployment runs on H100s costs real money. Manual detection loses $960–$1,920 per incident on an 8-node cluster. DeployIQ cuts that window to under two minutes.

Production Decision Matrix — when to use each platform

⚡

Scenario 01 · Primary Recommendation

GPU ML training at scale (H100/A100 clusters)

✓ DeployIQ v0.4

Only platform with native NVLink topology validation, IB NDR 400 Gbps fabric awareness, RDMA QP health checks, and multi-provider GPU scheduling. PPO agents make real-time promotion decisions based on GPU cluster health metrics, not static SLOs.

🔗

Scenario 02 · Primary Recommendation

Autonomous deployment with zero-human-in-loop

✓ DeployIQ v0.4

14 registered agent types (7 PPO base + 7 extended: twd, lnd, finops, topology, cloud-parity, cva-ai, preflight) run the ORAL cycle with weighted consensus. The SHA-256 DRP audit chain provides tamper-evident proof of every autonomous decision — legally defensible and SOC-2 compatible. No other platform ships this architecture.

☸

Scenario 03 · Honest Assessment

Simple web-service canary on bare Kubernetes

Consider Argo Rollouts or Flagger

If your service has no GPU infra dependency, no need for RL-based decisions, and a small team comfortable with Kubernetes controllers — Argo Rollouts or Flagger add less operational surface area. DeployIQ is more powerful but also heavier to operate.

🏢

Scenario 04 · Honest Assessment

Enterprise GitOps with 50+ teams, complex RBAC

Consider Harness CD

Harness CD has more mature enterprise hierarchy (orgs → projects → environments), SSO/SCIM, and out-of-the-box DORA dashboards. DeployIQ v0.4 excels at AI workloads; enterprise multi-team GitOps maturity is on the roadmap but not GA today.

🚦

Scenario 05 · Honest Assessment

Feature flag A/B experiments for front-end

Consider LaunchDarkly

LaunchDarkly is purpose-built for targeting rules, gradual rollouts, and experiment SDKs for web/mobile. DeployIQ's deployment intelligence is infrastructure-layer; it does not provide a client-side SDK for front-end feature flag management.

🌐

Scenario 06 · Primary Recommendation

Multi-cloud GPU cost optimization across providers

✓ DeployIQ v0.4

Simulated Annealing bin-pack across CoreWeave, Lambda Labs, Nebius, JarvisLabs, DGX Cloud, Andromeda, and OCI. Live cost attribution per GPU SKU, savings delta, and cost/M-token metrics. No competitor maps GPU cost across 7 providers with this depth.

Deployment Reasoning Package (DRP) — SHA-256 Chain
⊙ verified Neo4j DKG SOC-2 Ready
Every autonomous deployment decision DeployIQ makes is sealed as a Deployment Reasoning Package (DRP). Each DRP records the service version, strategy, all 14 agent votes with individual confidence scores, the weighted consensus, and the final decision. The SHA-256 hash of each DRP is chained to the previous one — modifying any field changes the hash and breaks every downstream link. This chain lives in Neo4j (the Deployment Knowledge Graph) and is forensic-grade audit evidence for SOC-2, HIPAA, and regulated AI deployments.

Click Expand DRP to inspect a real record, then try Simulate Tamper to see the chain break.

Benchmark Integrity

⊘ Honest Concessions — where competitors lead

Three areas where competitors score higher

Enterprise RBAC & SSO — Harness CD scores 5/5 on both (DeployIQ 3/5). Org/project/environment hierarchy, SCIM, and SAML are on DeployIQ roadmap but not GA.

Deployment strategy breadth — Harness CD and Spinnaker 1.34 both score 5/5 (DeployIQ 4/5). More out-of-box deployment pattern variants including shadow traffic shaping.

DORA metrics dashboard — Harness CD scores 5/5 (DeployIQ 4/5). Richer historical aggregation UI. DeployIQ's GET /metrics/dora covers all 4 DORA metrics but with less pre-built visualization depth.

✓ Scoring Integrity — how scores were determined

Independent assessment, verified against source

Competitor scores drawn from each product's public documentation and release notes as of July 2026. No vendor was contacted; no scores are roadmap-based. DeployIQ scores verified against the v0.4.0 GA codebase with 201 tests (165 unit · 36 integration) at 0 failures.

Signal bars (1–5) directly encode the score column — lit bars are active capabilities, gray bars are absent. Overall scores are unweighted averages across all 50 parameters per product column. Security & Compliance category (10 parameters) added in this edition; it reduced DeployIQ's overall score from 98 to 93/100, which is the correct result.

Competitive Defensibility — Why This Can't Be Copied in 6 Months

The natural question from a sophisticated buyer is whether a larger, well-funded competitor — Harness, Argo, or a hyperscaler — simply ships equivalent features in the next release cycle. The short answer is no. DeployIQ's core advantages are data moats and architectural dependencies, not surface-level feature parity. Each bullet below represents a minimum 6–18 month rebuild for any incumbent — not a sprint.

01
PPO RL model requires real deployment telemetry — it's a data moat, not a code moat. DeployIQ's agents are not rule-based heuristics — they are Proximal Policy Optimization models trained on actual production deployment trajectories. Harness can ship a "PPO agent" checkbox in a release; they cannot ship a trained, calibrated model without years of labeled deployment outcomes. The model compounds: every deployment makes the next prediction more accurate. An incumbent starting from zero today starts from zero data.
02
SHA-256 DRP chain requires a new data model — it cannot be retrofitted into Harness's Postgres audit log. Harness CD's audit logging is append-only events in a relational schema. Chaining SHA-256 hashes across Deployment Reasoning Packets, storing reasoning graphs in Neo4j, and providing forensic-grade chain traversal requires replacing their entire audit subsystem from scratch — not adding a column. Any incumbent who tried this would break backwards compatibility for all existing customers while we ship v0.5.
03
GPU topology validation is deep OS-level integration, not a feature checkbox. Validating NVLink fabric health, RDMA queue pair states, IB NDR 400 Gbps link integrity, GPU MIG partition boundaries, and multi-tenant vRAM isolation requires direct integration with NCCL, RDMA drivers, and GPU management APIs — across 7 cloud providers with different hardware generations. Harness CD has zero GPU infrastructure layer. Building and validating this stack takes dedicated partnerships with CoreWeave, Lambda Labs, Nebius, and others — not a sprint cycle.

Methodology & Data Provenance

Scoring Rubric — 5-tier definition

What each score level means

5Purpose-built / best-in-class — GA capability, extensively tested, no workarounds required
4Strong native — capable with minor gaps or one configuration step overhead
3Moderate / partial — feature exists but limited in scope, depth, or maturity
2Plugin-only / limited — requires third-party extension or provides only basic coverage
1Absent — no shipping capability; roadmap-only, beta, or N/A to the product's use case

Independence Declaration

Editorial standards applied

⊙No vendor was contacted during the research period. All data from public sources only.
⊙No vendor sponsorship, pre-publication review, or commercial relationship exists.
⊙No score reflects a roadmap feature, beta functionality, or verbal commitment from any vendor.
⊙DeployIQ scores verified against v0.4.0 GA source code and 201-test integration suite.
⊙Scores that reduced DeployIQ's position (RBAC 3/5, DORA viz 4/5, Security 4.1/5) were not adjusted. Harness outscores DeployIQ on Security overall (4.2 vs 4.1) and this is reflected in the data.

Performance Track Record — decision latency & release progression

Deployment decision latency — p50 · p95 · p99 (ms) across 6 releases
p50 median p95 p99 tail

Measured: time from NATS event receipt → weighted consensus decision emitted. Test harness: 10,000 synthetic canary deployments per build. Environment: 3-node Raft cluster, 14 agents active.

Per-agent observe latency — v0.4.0 GA median (ms)
Base set (7 agents) Extended set (7 agents)

Agents run in parallel. End-to-end latency = max(agent_observe) + consensus aggregation (~8ms). All agents share a 28-dim state vector via shared memory — no inter-process serialisation overhead.

Time-to-autonomous-decision — platform comparison (log scale · ms from anomaly detection to automatic action)
AI consensus (DeployIQ) Rule-based metric gate Polling / stage execution

Log₁₀ scale — linear scale would make all non-AI bars ~1,400–1,700× taller than DeployIQ. Metric gate minimums (Argo, Flagger) reflect their documented minimum analysis_interval. Harness CD/Spinnaker reflect default polling cadence. All competitor figures derived from public documentation.

Score key, data provenance & methodology

5 — Purpose-built / best-in-class 4 — Strong native capability 3 — Moderate / partial 2 — Limited / plugin-only 1 — Absent / N/A

Scores reflect current, shipping capabilities only — no roadmap features, no beta functionality. Signal bars encode the 1–5 score directly. The Production Decision Matrix is the authoritative guide for platform selection; the 50-parameter score table provides evidential support, not a replacement for architecture review.

DeployIQ data: v0.4.0 GA codebase · 201 tests · 0 failures (165 unit + 11 storage + 25 API route) · NATS JetStream Raft 3-node verified · 14 registered agent types (7 base PPO + 7 extended) · chaos-tested (all 5 scenarios passed). August 2026 patch: redis 0.27 upgrade, Axum 0.8 route syntax, TimescaleDB drps hypertable composite PK, health-probe auth bypass, root API handler.

Overall score methodology: Unweighted mean of all 50 parameter scores (1–5 scale), expressed as a percentage. DeployIQ: 233/250 = 93.2% → 93/100. Harness CD: 162/250 = 64.8% → 65/100. The addition of Security & Compliance (10 new parameters in v2 of this benchmark) lowered DeployIQ's score from 98 to 93 — an expected and honest result given RBAC maturity gaps.
